Call the effing national guard! All bread and milk must be wiped off the store shelves. Sunday school is canceled at nearly every church tomorrow! The apocalypse is near!

No seriously, people are losing it. Guess how much snow we got? Like, a dusting. Not even enough to cover the roads. Bless our little Southern hearts, we just don't know what to make of snow in December.

Then again, there was ice/frost on the cars in San Diego a few days ago and I'm pretty sure as I was scraping my window my first thought was apocalypse (okay, maybe not, but I was cursing and kicking and throwing a general fit about the weather).

Her name is Lena (lee-nah). She's a 65lb lap dog with absolutely no concept of her size or weight.

Pretty dog! My brother has a pitt who sounds just like her, she is the cuddliest, sweetest thing--I don't think she realizes people are terrified just looking at her.

I miss the South. We got at least 6 inches on the ground yesterday morning (and it snowed all day yesterday) and it's not even a big deal here. DH had to work at a Christmas work event and since we only have 1 car, I had to take him with Alex in tow. Thanks Illinois. On a more positive note, the Christmas event was fun, Alex got his picture with Santa, and we got our Christmas tree last night with snow on it!

We got about 4 inches. I wouldn't say people were losing it, but pretty close. The roads are completely clear now, but I had to follow someone home who thought they still had to drive about 20 below the speed limit.

I am JEALOUS!  We haven't had any snow yet and I love it!  It is strange that we haven't even had any flurries yet.

Fri - Sat we received 10" of snow. It quit snowing at 10 am and by 11:30 am we were on our way to Target. Most main roads were already cleared.

They only forecasted a dusting here, so there was still food in the stores at least, but we actually got 2-3 inches on Saturday.  I was suprised people handled it as well as they did.  Of course, it really didnt stick to the roads since they brine everything here.  It was just kind of a pretty snow.  I could do without anymore though and I'm already tired of the bitter cold temperatures -- I think they said tonights low is 10 degrees before windchill.

I had to shovel a foot of snow this morning and it took me 1.5 hrs to get to work. Gotta love living in NY!

We have about 12" of snow here, and it is supposed to continue accumulating for the next few days. I'm learning that having a really long driveway isn't so cool...
