It started yesterday with what I thought were his allergies, so I gave him some allergy medication. ?We went out to have ice cream for the school fundraiser, then when we got back he started drooling?profusely, I mean profusely, it was kind of gross. ?I have never seem him drool that much. ?He was also complaining of a headache. ?He is getting in his right side 2nd molar right now too. ?He already has his left. ?SO I put a call into the ped, the on call ped told me to just watch him, it could be his teeth or this throat virus that is going around, just give him tylenol to keep him comfortable.
I gave him tylenol @ 7 pm @ 8 his temp was 100.2, he fell asleep @ 8:20 and was up again @ 8:30, my night continued to be like that until 11, then he finally really fell asleep, but he tossed an turned all night and kept waking up, so I had him stay home from school. ?Dad was OK with it, he has been sniffling and sneezing all day. ?But he is back to his old self playing. ?I hate it when he is sick, I would do anything to take it away from him. ?He was missed at school today though. ?
Re: Jacob is a sickie!
Aww poor Jacob and Mommy. I think there is something going around cuz me & Celeste were so sick the first part of this week that we both stayed home from work and daycare. By the 2nd day she was back to her old self it was an ear infection for her and mine is bronchitis...i started feeling semi normal last night-whew!?
Hope you guys feel better soon.
Poor Jacob! Poor Mommy! Hope he feels better soon.
I think Nat is coming down with something too, it was rough for her last night.
You know, it is very strange....
Katie has not (((knocking on wood))) had a cold or anything *yet*. (Yes, I am one of those overly obsessed germy mommies). BUT----
last Friday she felt warm-she has never had a termperature over 98.4, but I could tell that she was hot-thermometer said 100.5. I kind of thought it was teething, she did not act sick or anything-running all over playing and all. I went to sleep and checked her about 2-3 hours to make sure she was not hotter or anything. She felt the same and I checked her temp and it was 100.2. Neither of which was too alarming, warm, but not too bad.
She got up the next day and was fine. Perfectly fine. No temp or anything. She did get her bottom two teeth next to her middle ones that night....OK, expl'd the fever-right?
Monday-She was so miserable-nose running and eyes all red and puffy. I though allergies. I gave her some Benedryl and bam-she was perfectly fine. About 6-7 hours later her eyes were puffy and watery and her nose was running again. She was still running around all happy. It was about bed time, so I tried to put her to sleep and she did not want any part of it. After about an hour she fell asleep and woke up perfectly fine.
It was a strange kind of day, but sounds a lot like what you are dealing with.
I have been fine and Matt is dealing with his allergies/sinuses so I don't know.
