14 foot Christmas tree! Need a tree skirt
This is the biggest tree we've ever had - it's crazy tall. The limbs have come down since last night and it's gorgeous.
Where can a get a tree shirt big enough for this monster? My MIL suggested getting a big, round table cloth and cutting it.
Here's a picture of my 2.5 year old next to it. It's a beast.

That is a gorgeous tree! Makes me want to go back to getting real trees.
I think the table cloth would work the best. You can chose a round size that works from somewhere like homegoods. They have a ton of colors too.
Wow, that tree is great! I hope you post a picture for us once it's all decorated!!!
Tablecloth is great or a flat sheet - they make so many now in great holiday patterns. We only have a very small fake tree this year since we are moving on the 29th and I actually used a white pillow case for a skirt and it looks fine.

I think I'll go check out HomeGoods later today. Thanks ladies!
Had to post this pic!

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
My tree is a beast, too.... in fact, that's why I started making the extra large skirts for them. Yes, it's a round red table cloth -- I used heat-applied flocking that I cut into snowflake shapes. I've also started using the flock as trim around the center hole that I cut.
If you're going to make one yourself, BE AWARE that depending on the fabric, it may fray - and fray quickly. You need to keep it in place when cutting. I use more heat applied vinyl so I don't have any fraying - but you need a commercial heat press to affix that. Let me know if you run into any problems when you make it.
I am having the exact same problem. We have a new house with cathedral ceilings and I need a tree skirt for our 14 foot tree. I think I will look at table clothes --I have spent all morning looking for tree skirts big enough and the few I have found are over 500 dollars!
Thanks for the idea!
