Rec. your fav. travel coffee mug
I am doing gifts for co-workers and want to buy one of them a reusueable travel coffee cup. She has one, but she likes her tea super hot and doesn't have time to drink it all before it gets too cold in her cup. So she is always heating up her hard plastic cup in the microwave. Heating plastic that many times can't be good.
Does anyone have a super insulated travel cup/mug they can recommend that would keep tea steaming for at least an hour?

What about a stainless Thermos?

Cooks Illustrated recommends the Thermos Travel Mug with TherMax & the OXO Click LiquiSeal Travel Mug but this was from 4 years ago, although both mugs are still available (found both on Amazon). http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FOMQ4O/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000NZVA6A&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0V4X9QCW15HGQQHGWQYM

Another option is a Tervis Tumbler that can be used for both hot and cold drinks. My local Bed Bath & Beyond carries 16 & 24 oz tumblers along with 17 oz mugs, that apparently are being retired and a new & improved 15 oz mug will be available in 2011 (http://www.tervis.com/Main.aspx). They sell hot & cold lids & straws for them. I can vouch for their insulating qualities on keeping cold drinks cold but we have not yet used them for hot drinks. The great thing about Tervis is that they have may different decals that can help personalize the mug.
Hello,
I usually just lurk but saw this and thought I'd share - I just found these mugs at Target (I live in MI) and they are made from recycled materials, and able to be recycled when you're finished. They come in green and blue, and they keep my tea hot for 45min - 1 hour depending on how quickly I get the lid on it once I make it!
I love them, my absolute favorite so far! Good luck with your search!
FOUND THE BRAND - its the aladdin e-cycle mug.
It's also dishwasher and microwave safe. =]
I'm a lurker but have the most amazing coffee cup. It's made by Contigo and can keep hot liquid HOT for at least 2 hours and warm for another 2 or so. I had ordered my first one from ebay, but now they are sold at Target and some Costco locations. It also is nearly leak proof. I can shake it with hot liquid upside down and it doesn't leak.
The water bottles are incredible too.
