warning: super cute!

DH and I went to a 30th surprise birthday party for a friend of ours last night. We had instructions to park behind the house, arrive between 5:45 and 6:05, and if we couldn't be there by then, arrive after 7. Well we got there and joined our other friends and were told just to hang out upstairs, we weren't supposed to hide, or even be quiet, which we thought was weird. Erin called at 6:30 and said they were about 2 minutes away, and we were all told to fill our drinks and go into the living room and just act normal, no yelling 'surprise' or anything.

Well, at 6:35 Josh (the birthday boy) and Erin come in and Erin starts freaking out because her dad and mom were standing in the front of the living room (they flew in from WI to GA for the party). At that point her dad goes 'sweetheart, I think you need to turn around' and Josh was down on one knee and asked her to marry him!

Turns out that Josh had orchestrated the whole thing with one of Erin's friends and she had been set up from the beginning. She thought she was throwing him a surprise birthday party but really he was throwing her an engagement party, he even flew her parents in to be there. And the speech he had when he asked her was soooo sweet, almost all of the girls started to tear up!
