DH vent

Why is it that when I ask DH to look over the grocery list, waddle my butt around the store on the busiest day, he then looks I what I bought and says "What about x, y, & z?"  Um, you didn't say anything that needed to be added so therefore you go without.  I'm not a mind reader.

Re: DH vent

  • I think we're married to the same man!

DH and I go through this several times each month.  I always ask "do you need anything?"

I don't think to check the status of his deodorant or specific foods that only he eats. He doesn't eat during the day, so I try to keep packets of crackers and granola bars around for him.  I don't always eat them or check to see how many are left before I head out shopping.

  • YES!!   I always, always ask DH if he needs anything and without fail, he'll come back with 'Well why didn't you get any (fill in the blank)?'   Or, he'll wait to tell me until he is completely out of something (like shampoo, deodorant, etc.) and expect me to get it immediatelyrighthen.   Blah!

Causes that are important to me: Planned Pethood Graham's Foundation NOCC
  • I always ask dh what he wants to have for dinners, or what he wants me to buy, then he complains later that there is nothing good to eat or that there is no food in the house
