Can you recommend some vegetarian websites? One of the skids wants to stop eating meat, so I'm looking for websites that can give her information on how to eat properly so she still is eating healthily with enough protein and also for ideas for recipes to make for her. tia!

Re: vegetarian websites?
There was a recent post about a veg recipe blog you can check out. I've recently started using field roast -- a soy-free, high-protein sausage-y sort of food. It's much better tasting than soy based alternatives. If she likes Indian food, that's a good place to start. There's also this site that might be helpful: http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/teennutrition.htm. I haven't read it, but skimming it, it looks reliable.

You would be amazed how much more protein we eat than we actually need- especially kids.
peta's website is a good start for recipes. They have a website for kids, too called Peta2.
Well my skid is 14, so not exactly a kid. I know that as a society we tend to get too much protein, but if she is going to make a switch I want it to be an informed one. I don't want her to just start leaving things out of her diet and think it's okay without her maybe needing to replace them, especially since they are with their mom most of the time and she doesn't care about diet as much as she should.
And thanks for the links
