I am up for a position at Countrywide and curious if anyone can give me insights positive or negative for working there?
Re: Working for Countrywide
I don't know your history but if you are looking for a long term position this may not be the right fit. I would avoid this company. B of A is buying them and now B of A is in the process of purchasing Merrill - I would think eventually (within 1-2 years) they will be downsizing. If you are looking for something now for income and don't care what happens in the future than go for it.
However, on the plus side, these aquisitions can take a long time before complete.
Maybe you're right, maybe it wouldn't matter which dept since no one maybe totally "safe". Like Switzerland mentions, maybe this will be good short term, but not long.
Will it be a lateral move for you?
You will work with my aunt and MIL I say go for it!
GL!!!
