I got my disc of photos last week (finally). There are 738 photos! I don't know how to sort through and choose the ones I want. Fortunately I have the disc and the rights to the photos so I can print as many as I want as I decide I want them, but it's still pretty overwhelming! How did you decide what to do with yours? How many did you have to choose from?

Re: How does one choose?
our photog gave us 300 prints of "important" or 'good' ones that she chose. The disc has about 550. This includes color and B/W of the same photo, so most are not a separate print.
I pulled a few of the ones I liked out of the prints she gave us for some collage frames we got for the wedding (they're still not hung on the wall yet though).
For the scrapbook I'll make, I'll print all of them from the disc and sort out by 'event'- getting ready, ceremony, posed/family, fun shots, etc. I can't choose until I have them in hand. I'm weird like that though. It's hard!
Once I had them all printed I went through and found ones I wanted to put in frames around the house and got copies made...I did the same thing with the wall collage I did.
As far as brag books for family, I picked from the best that Don and I thought that followed the story of the day...it was a long process, but worth it. Plus, it's not like looking at our wedding pics was a drag
We have 814 photos total.. and we haven't yet narrowed anything down for an album. We plan to have some printed for framing and make a canvas out of the BP shot (the one in my signature), but that's all we know so far.
We did manage to narrow down the pictures to about ~400 photos for our parent albums, which we ordered last week for Christmas. That was hard enough, so I can't imagine how difficult it will be to narrow down photos for our album. I'm so excited about them, though.

We have about 1,100 to pick from. Thankfully, a lot are duplicates, different angle or just bad, so it wasn't that hard to choose. But it did take up an entire afternoon for me to print 9 pics for frames around the house. Gave mom and MIL the cds when we were done, so they picked their own. For Christmas, we made calendars for g-parents and parents, so I just picked the best 12 that had variety.
When I scrapbook the entire wedding, I'm sure it will be a full day's event picking pics.
Good luck and be patient!
I have close to 900. My photog (also a good friend) cherry picked about 20 that she thought were really fabulous shots, and we ended up enlarging most of those.
As for the rest, I printed all of them using snapfish and will put them in albums.
We got 1149...a lot of them were different, too. I just sat down one day and picked out my favourite 394
We didn't get any prints from our photographers, because I decided to use the Creative Memories program to make books for us and our parents (still working on it) and I'll have a few printed for our house and our parents' houses.
I guess you just have to sit down and devote a while to it, but at least it's fun!

You know it! It took me a loooong time to upload all of the pics to shutterfly
