1. Do you usually get a Christmas/Holiday Bonus at work? Nope...but this year, it'll be like we're getting a bonus. H gets his bonus for joining in the AF, and I finally quit paying out the butt for insurance. I'm pretty excited.
2. Do your and/or your H's work have holiday company parties? If so, are they fun or lame? I think H's squadron is having a Christmas party...I think. The university usually has a "Holiday Happenings" where they have these uhmazing orange iced cookies - it's a week from tomorrow, and I'm totally excited.
3. Does your work collect money from everyone to buy a present for your boss? Do you gladly give, or are you usually a little bitter about it? Nope. If we did, thought, I'd gladly give - he's a great boss.
4. Are you going anywhere for the holidays? Nope - staying put. I'll probably spend most of my time hanging out with my best friend or at Thunder games. :P
5 How much shopping do you have left? Um...I'm pretty much all done with JJ and H. I have a couple of things left for my mom and sis and need to get my best friend's gift. I'm closer than I thought!
1. Do you usually get a Christmas/Holidy Bonus at work? Yeah, we usually get an extra paycheck. DH will be getting a bonus this year too, since he's part of the management team at his work now.
2. Do your and/or your H's work have holidy company parties? If so, are they fun or lame? We have a Christmas party during work hours every year. We usually go bowling. It's not that great, but I guess it's better than working! DH's work has a Christmas party every year too. This year, they're having it at a hotel and it's video game themed
They'll have a wii, guitar hero, etc. and looooots of alcohol as usual. It usually ends up me, DH, and my brother (he works with DH) at a table watching all of the drunk people trying to function. It's pretty amusing.
3. Does your work collect money from everyone to buy a present for your boss? Do you gladly give, or are you usually a little bitter about it? We always give money for a boss gift. This year, they're "suggesting" that everyone gives $20 each. But they mark down who gives what, and I'm sure the boss sees the list and it helps him decide how much people's bonuses are. I don't mind giving money, he gives us way more than $20 each for Christmas bonuses, so it's no big deal.
4. Are you going anywhere for the holidays? Nope, just here and Tulsa.
5 How much shopping do you have left? I actually have half my shopping done! I just ordered a bunch of stuff on amazon last week. Only 9 people left! Oh, plus DH so I guess 10.

1. Do you usually get a Christmas/Holiday Bonus at work? Nope. Though, one year we did. It was cool.
2. Do your and/or your H's work have holiday company parties? If so, are they fun or lame? Yes. We teachers get together every year for a Dirty Santa party with lots of food and drinks. I always have a blast.
3. Does your work collect money from everyone to buy a present for your boss? Do you gladly give, or are you usually a little bitter about it? Not really. We usually collect cash to give as a bonus to our daytime janitor who takes care of all his extended family.
4. Are you going anywhere for the holidays? Just to a relative's house down in Southern OK. Nothing special or fancy.
5 How much shopping do you have left? Most of it. I have two gifts so far (one in the mail) but I have ideas for everyone, I just need to take the time to go get everything.

I thought it would be lame, but I ended up having a lot of fun. DH works for a small company, so they're just going out to dinner. I'll be out of town, so I'm missing it.

4. Are you going anywhere for the holidays? yes, we have a Christmas for the next 3 Sundays which one will be in Newkirk, 2 on Christmas day which 1 will be in Enid and then the Saturday before we have one in Stillwater. I love Christmas but I hate how it feels up our weekends in Dec.
5 How much shopping do you have left? About 10% which I plan to get down 1% after my shopping trip to Tulsa this Saturday.
1. Do you usually get a Christmas/Holidy Bonus at work? We get a decent bonus so I can't complain too much, but, sadly, for the last few years it's been in lieu of a raise. Since raises are based off of a percentage of your previous salary, this hurts us in the long run. I'd rather have the same dollar amount in a raise than a bonus.

Both do---DH's are party central with lots of trashy drunken fun (to watch---not participate in!) and mine are fancier cocktail party types where everyone has a little plate of food, 2 glasses of eggnog or punch max, and sits and chats for a bit. Both are fun, but in totally different ways.

1. Do you usually get a Christmas/Holidy Bonus at work? We normally do. They haven't said anything about it this year though. There are only four of us in the office. It's usually a last minute type of thing.

I am not sure if H's work has one or not. We haven't heard anything about it but we probably wouldn't go. He most likely wouldn't be home and I'm not going to his party by myself.

DH's company's Christmas party is this Saturday, it's the first one we've been to so the jury is still out on whether it will be fun or lame.

And they give away TONS of money, prizes and even a couple of cruises at DH's company party.... so what's not to love about that?! And each department has to do a skit every year with a given theme, it's pretty hilarious.

Last year it was at the Hotel Del Coronado, on Coronado Island, CA and it was incredible! They are having it there again this year and we are getting an ocean front room to stay the night in! Hoping for a baby making night if it hasn't happened by then!

4. Are you going anywhere for the holidays? Oh how I wish! I would gladly trade this 70+ degree weather and the beach for a good ole' Oklahoma cold and possibly snowy Christmas with family! We are so bummed we aren't able to be with family this year!
5 How much shopping do you have left? Very little...D and I actually pretty much finished up last weekend, except for stocking stuffer stuff. We ordered his mom some Scentsy stuff that we know she will love! Can't wait to send it to her!!
