DD?s birthday party is on Saturday at 11 am. It is mainly adults. We?ve gone with a winter ONEderland theme. I feel like I?m missing food. Please help!
Savory:
Meatballs
Weenies
Cheeseball w/ Snowflake Crackers
Fresh Fruit
Veggies w/ dip and Hummus
Buffalo Chicken Dip
Spanakopita
Sweet:
Cupcakes w/ Smash Cake for DD
Brownies (not sure what kind I?ll make yet)
Cheesecake
Marshmallow Treats
Beverages:
Bottled Water
Iced Tea
Frost Bite Punch
Hot Cocoa Bar or Hot Cider
Thoughts?!?!?!?
Re: DD's winterONEderland Menu: Please help!
I know I could eat enough to make a meal, but it sounds more like a cocktail party instead of a party over lunchtime. I'd probably substitute the meatballs and weenies for more of a sandwich or wrap.
I also don't know that you need that many desserts. Most kid bday parties I go to have cake and ice cream.
I think its missing the main part....like wraps, lunch meat platter, pulled pork, something along those lines. I know it says weenies...does that mean hot dogs w/ buns? Is so then I'd say you are good. Ot if you have rolls for meatball subs or something.
We had hot apple cider at my daugther's 1st birthday party...huge hit. Cupcakes were also a huge hit...much better than just regular cake which rarely gets eaten.
This. You need to add sides and subtract meats and desserts.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Maybe what you can do is put out a platter of coldcuts and cheese and bread and then let people make their own sandwiches. Then if people want to use the meatballs for that they can serve double duty and you won't have to go too crazy with cooking.
Otherwise you can make a pasta dish (like baked ziti or lasagna) and a quiche and that will be easy.
