I personally think flocked trees are silly but my step-dad loves them, mostly because that's what he always had as a kid and he's weird like that. He and my mom have a deal that he can get a flocked tree every other year. This year they couldn't find a flocked tree (gasp!) so he bought a can of snow spray and sprayed the tree with it. Cracks me up.

Re: Poll - Flocked Trees
I had to google what that meant- flocked tree. I had no idea that there was a name for those trees. They're NMS.
I grew up with an artifical tree and have one that I put up (when I host the family Christmas, every 3 years) but flocking on a tree is just weird to me. Maybe its because I'm in NC where it hardly ever snows therefore don't see snow on trees often.
I don't have a picture yet but the "snow" started to fall off when they started decorating the tree.
We are in Houston. My step-dad was born and raised here so it's not like he ever saw snow on trees growing up.
I must admit, I used to hate them. They haven't been my style until recently. Then a friend of ours sprayed their regular tree with fake snow and it looked gorgeous all lit up. I asked my DH if we could spray ours with fake snow this year (just the tips here and there) but he refused. Grinch.
I should add that we moved to NC from MA a few months ago and our DD already misses the snow, so I thought adding some to our tree would be a nice touch. It's messy (which is why The Grinch refused) unless you use ceiling spray which stays on pretty well, regular spray snow doesn't stick very well...so just like snow, when you bump the branches, you have a mess on the floor and have to re-spray every year.
