So my H was messing with my computer about a month ago, and he had to restore something and it said nothing would be erased, but now my ENTIRE iTunes library is gone. Not even in my computer.
So I'm scared to sync my phone, will it erase my phone, or will it transfer what's on my phone onto my computer?
I've paid for a few songs and some apps, so I'm going to be pissed if those are completely lost....
And I've had my phone for almost a year, so I'm out of their stupid coverage crap.
What do I do?
Thanks in advance.

Re: iPhone/iTunes help... :(
If you Transfer your purchases when you plug your phone in, the songs and apps that you bought will be transferred. Otherwise when you sync, your phone will be erased.
Google how to transfer your songs from your iPhone onto your computer. There are ways that you can set your phone to come up as a storage device when you plug it in and you can transfer your songs manually off of your phone onto a file in your computer. I've had to do this with an old Nano and with my iPhone 4 and it worked great both times. It took a while (I have about 600 songs), but it worked nonetheless.
This isn't a warranty issue, so their "stupid coverage crap" wouldn't be a factor.
Apps can be re-downloaded any number of times without issue, so you don't have to worry about those. Music, however, can not be downloaded again from Apple. If you have a significant amount of music on there that isn't backed up anywhere else, I'd use a program like iPodRip - http://www.ipodrip.net/ - to essentially treat your iPhone like a CD and rip all the songs into iTunes.
A word of caution - make sure any settings within iTunes and on your computer don't allow the phone to sync automatically; otherwise iTunes will beat you to the punch as soon as you plug your phone in.

Actually the "stupid coverage crap" is an issue. I called them and they said they wouldn't even answer my question unless I bought more iPhone coverage because mine expired 90 days after purchase. I complained a little and they decided to help me this one time.
So no, it's an issue.
Thanks for the info.
My computer and iTunes aren't friends...I couldn't even install the new version of iTunes to get the latest iPhone updates, so Idk. I made a back up copy of my phone in case my iTunes erases it, so hopefully I won't have a problem.
I'll google how to transfer, I didn't even think of that, thanks.
Try Senuti, transfers data from an iPhone/iPod to your computer. There is a free trial that lets you transfer up to 1000 songs I think..the unlimited version is less than $20. Worth it IMO.

What I meant was - your husband deleting your music isn't covered by their warranty, even if you would have extended it. You called and complained and they helped you even though they didn't have to - which is good customer service. But that doesn't change the fact that it has nothing to do with any coverage a warranty would have provided.

I'm with Julia here...warranties cover issues that have to do with the phone not working properly. The iPhone is working. Your husband deleted the files...the phone did not. There is nothing for customer service to do here.

Especially since he deleted the stuff from the computer, not the phone....
