Hello,I am new to Chicago (just moved in June), and I am looking to meet with other women at the same point in life as I am. My husband and I have been married 3 years, together for 6. We recently moved here from Atlanta for his career, and we are far away from family and friends. We are originally from North Carolina. It has been very hard for me to meet people outside of work, and I am looking to do just that!I would love to build a good group that can chat and maybe meet (tea/coffee/dessert/mani)?)! I'd love to know if anyone else is interested in something like this in the area. You can message here on the board or PM me!

Re: New to Chicago...
Love Lincoln Sq! We go to The Daily all the time.
The ladies on this board have a book club and one of the ladies sets up a brunch every few weeks.
Hi there! I too am brand new to Chicago. My boyfriend accepted a position at a large corporation and we live in the Loop. He's been here a couple of months, and I've been here just a week. I would LOVE to meet new people and would definitely be interested in a get together, etc.
Feel free to send me an email chicagocareergirl at gmail dot com
Hi Ladies! Well, I'm not new to Chicago, I have been here for four years. I moved from Lee's Summit, MO. My husband and I were recently married and have been together 3 years.
I love meeting new people and thought since most of you are new, it may be nice to have someone in the group that has been around for awhile.
I have zero family here, so my friends that I have mean a lot. I also work for CareerBuilder.com, so I thought the person that is looking for a job, I may be able to assist you in your search. I have a few local companies that are hiring and I don't mind looking at your resume or seeing what you're interested in doing and make a few recommendations.
My personal email address is annamarieparks@yahoo.com and my work email is anna.patterson@careerbuilder.com. I would love to organize a tea/mani/pedi or whatever party.
Talk soon,
Anna
Hi,
It is great to hear from so many. Sorry that I have been a bit neglectful, but life is so hectic this time of year. We should definitely plan something! Where is everyone located (neighborhood speaking)? What would you like to do most? Weekend times work best for me, but what works best for you?

I'm not super new to Chicago (have been her since '08/'09), DH and i have been married since 10/16 (together for 11 years though), but I have found it difficult to meet new friends outside of college/high school.
I'd love to meet up sometime. I live in Lakeview neighbhorhood.
I haven't attended a brunch or book-club yet, but plan to next month!

Hey,
We can definitely meet up! I think that I live semi-close to you! Send me a PM, and we can try to plan something!
Talk to you soon!
Sarah
Hi ladies!
New to Chicago here, too! So great to see all of these terrific posts of women looking to get connected! We were married in October and I relocated to Chicago from St. Louis in September to join my hubby who has been here since 2006 (glad to not be long distance any more! yay!) We're young-professionals in our mid-twenties, kids are nowhere in the near future and excited to settle into our new lives together in this fabulous city!
We live in Lincoln Park and both work downtown- him in the Loop and me as an event planner at a boutique hotel just off Michigan. I have a terrific family and set of girlfriends in St. Louis and I'd love to have the same here in Chicago. I saw a post earlier about a book club and brunches and I'm up for anything! Just looking for a group of girls to do girl-stuff with!
I'm a planner for sure so I'd be happy to get something together- would anyone be up for a happy hour or coffee?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Happy Holidays!
I am semi-new to the area, if that counts! I moved here after graduating from Purdue in 2006, and have worked in the hospitality field ever since.
I met my husband, Ed, in 06 and recently got married August 2010! We both manage for a Winery & Restaurant, and have a passion for anything foodie! Which means I also have to have a passion for running and working out!
I would like to meet new friends outside of the industry! I can be contacted at hammerwedding@gmail.com.
Happy New Years!
Welcome! I haven't checked the boards lately so I am a bit late. My husband and I moved here last December, so I definitely understand where you are coming from. I'm part of the current Book Club on here and will be posting the information for the February session as soon as we decide on a date. Anyone who's interested should come!
For the nestie who mentioned living in the Downers Grove area, I plan to move in that area in early summer. I'm currently working out that way and we've decided to move out of the city. If you get a group together for nesties out that, please let me know as well.
Hi ladies!
I am new to the boards and came across this post. I don't know if anyone checks this one anymore, but I thought I'd give it a try!
I am not new to Chicago, I grew up in the northern suburbs and now live in the city with my husband. We recently got married, this past October. I love meeting new people! I read about a book club, but I think I missed the one for February. I would love to meet some new girls to grab some coffee, mani, happy hour, whatever! !
Look forward to hearing from you!
Laura
Hi All!
Just saw this. I am not so new to Chicago...but would love to hang out with other married girls. I drag my husband out with my single girls way too often! We live in the Irving Park neighborhood which is super close to Lincoln Square (which I love)!
Can't wait to meet you!
Samantha
