Hey, peeps!

So this job has obviously been nonstop.  I was in court from 10-5 yesterday, with no break for lunch, then back to the office 'til 6.  Then in court from 10-5 today, then back in the office 'til 7.  At least I managed 15 minutes today to scarf down a turkey sandwich.

I'm exhausted.  And hungry.

But man, I love it.

Oh, and guess what?  Another firm I interviewed with right before this one?  Called me tonight to offer me a job!  LOL!

That happens all the time! WTH is wrong with employers? I was offered my job with the Army 1 week after I gave up and took a low-paid temp job. My interview had been 2 months previously. Of course I took it because they were paying real money, and it was supposed to be a 4 year position as opposed to 6 months...But anyway. Sometimes I think maybe I should take a minimum wage job so that someone I interviewed with long ago will call and offer me a "real" job.

Crazy, right?  But I actually like the job I took & told the other one so.  And then told my boss (who was right there when I answered my cell phone) that I'd just turned down a job for him.  He said I'd have more fun at this firm anyway, and he's almost definitely right.

Well, I get to eat now. Raced to court for an appearance that was in the office calendar for 9:00 a.m., only to find it's really at 10 and there's no one else here for my case, even my client. So I'm down in the cafeteria with coffee, oatmeal, and a banana. Not bad.
