Hello.
So i've been in Orange county for awhile now but since have not been to an OB and we just found out today that I'm pregnant!
I need recommendations on a OB , i'm looking for someone that isn'tto pushy as I want to have this one all natural with no drugs. I had an epidural with my first and never want to do it again.
also kinda entertaining the thought of a Midwife, if anyone has any info on them???
Thanks!

Re: Midwife or OBGYN
You'll probably find more information on The Bump... but when you mean midwife do you want a hopspital supported birth, a stand-alone birth center, or a home birth? There will be different midwives who work in each of those situations. Most hosptails (I don't believe any as of last year) do not have midwives attending births, the only exception that I am still aware of is Kaiser.
South Coast Midwifery in Irvine is a stand-alone birth center with midwife supported labor & delivery (they also offer home birth options). I loved them but my insurance did not cover them and I didn't want to pay the entire cost out-of-pocket.
There are a handful of homebirth midwives, I don't have their info handy anymore. Belly Sprout in Fullerton should have a directory of homebirth midwives who are still in practice.

To add to this, I believe that they just hired on two natruropathic (sp?) midwives and or birth doulas to work out of The Belly Sprout recently.
