Bra question.

I just got a new bra, but just saw that it says to handwash.  Do I really have to?!  Or would a hand washables cycle be ok in the washing machine?

Re: Bra question.

  • i put mine in a delicates bag on the delicates cycle and then lay flat to dry on the ironing board and i have no problems. i think the delicates bag keeps the straps from getting caught on the agitator, but you maybe could do without one.

Thanks!  I will try the bag, its rare I get a new bra and I dont want it messed up! :)

  • I put my bras in the washing machine on the delicate cycle. I don't use a delicates bag, but I have a front loader with no agitator, so it's pretty gentle on everything.

  • I have a hand wash setting on my washer and I use that. I do not put mine in a delicate bag. I also have a front load washer with no agitator.

  • do you have a top loader or front loader? If it's a top loader I would really be cautious about using the machine as much of a pain as it is. I worked for VS on and off for 4 years.  You will really prolong the life of the bra if you hand wash.  Whatever you do DO NOT dry it!
