I am having 9 of my girlfriends over for a little christmas party this saturday night, and I can't decide what to do for food. Help me plan my menu please.
I know I want to make an antipasto platter. I think I want one bite sized something, preferably vegetarian, some kind of dip, something sweet, and some type of fun drink. I know some of the people coming will bring food ( one girl is bringing bacon wrapped scallops for sure), so I don't think I really need much more than that.
Any suggestions?

Re: help me plan my party
This isn't exactly bite sized, but it sounds good.

Beer Dip. It is pretty much my answer to every party question.
And for drinks, I like just plain old wine myself, but if you have to go with soemthing, go with pomegranate.
I am sure fitty has some great veg apps.
How about some of these?
Stuffed mushrooms

Prosciutto wrapped asparagus?

If you're going to do stuffed mushrooms, do these that okla posted the other day.

And then send me some.
Veg broth with a little bit of better than bouillon crumbles would make it wedgetarian.

mmm, now I'm hungry. I'm making beer dip tonight to bring to H's office christmas party tomorrow night. I guess I should just double the recipe and have it for Saturday too, but I've made it for these guys before, and I feel like I want to have new and different things for them. The pepper feta dip sounds delicious. I think it's high on the list, as are those stuffed mushrooms.
For something sweet, does this sound good or disgusting? I love lemon and I love cheesecake. The concept sounds good, but I'm not sure about the actual recipe: http://annies-eats.com/2010/01/20/lemon-cheesecake-cheese-ball/
