We have the saddest tree ever.
Seriously. We don't have time to really decorate for Christmas this year, so I just put up a 5 foot slim prelit fake tree on a stick. I put an angel on top. threw on about 30 ornaments, and called it a day. No garland, no extras. Oh, and I put a skirt around the bottom. That's it. I suck.

Love to scrapbook!
Re: We have the saddest tree ever.
Really, you should see mine.
Just received our first tree from Costco, 7.5ft, prelit, now standing up and has a total of 4 Christmas ornaments that have sentimental value for us, and about 8 paper cranes perched on random branches we used for our wedding.
My tree is so underdressed compared to yours.
This is our first Christmas together and we haven't put up any decorations at all.
Its not out of being a 'scrooge' - I actually LOVE Christmas time.
We are pretty broke right now - and decided to use what money we had on gifts for others instead of decorations for out house. Also we will be traveling for a little over a week to see the In-Laws (both mine and his) for Christmas.
I'm sad without a pretty tree and all the fun decorations.
This just means that next year we will have to go all out to make up for what we missed.
I hear you! I feel so bad that we're not decorating much this year either. There's just no time with 2 little ones in our house...
One year we decorated the tree with stuffed animals and pine cones. We wanted maximum impact with minimal effort. It worked well and was very baby friendly.
Don't feel bad about a minimally decorated tree. A tree is a tree. That's all.
