Need sleep now

Ugh, this stupid cold is bugging the crap outta me!  Well, not literally, but I would be happy if it would bug the crud out.  I got about 4 hours of sleep last night, none of this pregnancy related either.  Woke up at 4:15, not able to breathe at all.  Decided that if I elevated myself, maybe it would drain and I could breathe?  Nice try, but no.

So from 4:30-6 I laid in bed on my iphone playing random games. Until I realized that I was interrupting H's sleep with the glare of the phone.  Tried to go back to sleep, then 6:30 his alarm goes off, dog starts to whine. Get up, feed the dog, listen to H get ready.  Finally doze off at 7:15 to have my alarm go off at 7:30.  I snoozed until 8:30.

And right now, I should be getting the house ready for our small group session here tonight before I head into work.  Instead, I nest Stick out tongue

Ok, my pity party is over now.  Back to your regular scheduled programming.

Re: Need sleep now

  • Ugh...sorry you didn't get great sleep.

But...FWIW, my sister and friends couldn't sleep well after 33/34 weeks...so while I know you say it's not pg related.. just a heads up...

On a related note, I didn't sleep that great either. H was snoring like a train was pulling up to the station. Apparently, I clocked him in the head a few times to shut up...and then he did...and then he started again...and I did it again. I thought it was his back. Then he put breathe rights on and I was happy. :)

  • I've been waking up every night between 2-3am, and I have no idea why. I think it's partly because I check on JJ [he's a wild sleeper and likes to kick the covers off] and partly because I always leave some sort of light on in the living room after I fall asleep. I wish I'd quit waking up because it's making me tired during the day, and I refuse to take sleeping meds when it's just me and JJ. Maybe I'll take a nap during lunch...

I hope you feel better soon!!

  • I was also up this morning for a period of time...Woke up at 3:30 to an engorged left breast, so I fed the baby a bit and then had to go pump to drain it..geez. I snoozed my alarm for 20 minutes.

Not getting sleep is the worst.

Hope you get better sleep tonight!!
