I hate being a newbie...
Does anyone want to play Ask Me anything to see if I can get even a little bit closer to bronze? I am 208 post away from getting some new bling hahaha. Yes I did the math because it seems to be taking forever this time around.

Yeah we did put an offer in in October (the 18th ish)... We found out from Shelly last week that the first bank has their answer but will not give it until the 2nd leanholder has their answer.. So we are waiting on them now. I am hoping to have more news in the next week or two. The 2nd lean holder is dragging their feet haha!!
The good news is though, if this house isnt willing to work with us or whatever there are 3 other houses just like it for sale for a bit cheaper in the same neighborhood so we'll just move on. I'm not in a HUGE rush to move, but would like to do it before summer time. Our lease is up in July so I have some time. And if we get lucky then great!!
I just LOVE the house so much!!! I want to go there and measure and stuff haha! We have a lot of shopping to do and I am itching to go to Ikea

That is cool, that sucks when there is more then one bank involved, for our house they sold it to one bank then they sold it back and we had to get a decision 3 times. It was insane! haha Well I will keep my fingers crossed that this house works out for you guys.
Are the other houses the same floorplan or model?

They are pretty much the exact same house. Like the same model it is just the finishings are a bit different. The houes we have the offer in has amazing tile counters that I am in love with where as the other house might have granite or laminate.. My house is priced a little higher because of some of the upgrades I'd imagine (that an really with a short sale they can only go so low to get the approval right? i dunno... haha). The backyard isn't my favorite ever. There is a pool, but it is placed weird so we'll have to do some work to the rest of the yard.
One of the other houses we are looking at (the current house twin) has an amazing backyard but the inside isnt as upgraded... lol... its like we have to pick and chose what we like more, haha!
We are waiting this cycle and will start TTC next month! I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT! hahaha

Yeah, that is what we figured. I LOVE the tile in the kitchen on the counters! It's amazing lol... The only issue we see is we want to add a bench / counter into the house and a cabinet for double ovens and I am worried about finding the same tile for the bench counter. I will get a pillow for it and make it a window seat but I'd like to remove it and use it for counter space for when we have company / gtg's and I need more room for things. So we'll see. Keep your fingers crossed for me that the tile still exists haha!
The backyard is gravel so we'll just have to dig it out and have someone come and lay grass patches for us I think. It's not a huge area but if we take out the little palms that I hate it will make for more room. Now I have to find someone to come dig them out for me and maybe re-sell them. And the pool gate too.. ahhh...
See, now you have my brain going again! Carl doesn't like to talk renovation with me because he just doesn't care much (as long as I don't do pink polka dots and zebra print) so I keep it all in.. hahahah
Hahah that is funny Jess, You really can think of a million things to do when it is your house, it is amazing how even have being in it for 2 years You think of more projects you wnat to do... haha

I LOVE double ovens. I am going to take out the current stove / oven and put a drop in flat top and faux cabinets underneath. I wish we had gas though because I like the look of the gas drop in stoves better then the electric ones, but it's to expensive to run the gas so we'll settle, at least for now. When we do a new build later down the road it will be gas haha!
I wish we had the approval already then I could post pictures to get some more ideas.. I don't want to jinx myself though..
My lease is up in July too! DH and I have been looking at houses over where your at too. Marley Park is great and all, but if we can find a cheaper and bigger house we are going for it..

Sommer.... I really really wanted to be in MP. We looked at a few houses in there, one I loved a TON but we decided that right now we'll buy out of MP (which makes me a little sad) and do new build in MP later on. While I loved the house we looked at there, I really wanted my own pool and did not want to take a 2nd loan to put one in right now. The economy scares me a lot. And whose to say MP is going to be as awesome in 5 years, haha!
I love our community. It's so nice over there.. and the prices are amazing. We looked at a few in your community but decided to stay on this side of greenway for now because I wont have to worry about Chad and the school he wants to go to. They have busses from this side where as if we go across the street, we have to bring him...
Good Luck with the house. I hope they approve it already, I want to go swimming.
Jason is already looking at house in Portland, I really cant wait to move there. I hope this economy is better in 4-5 years.
