My kid is sick. He's had a fever since Tuesday. I thought he was getting better yesterday, but then he woke up with a fever of 102.7 today. Ugh. Of course, it also happens to be two days before his birthday party.
Also, I would have worked from home today, but I had a meeting this morning. Jason couldn't stay at home again today, so I had to pack my poor kid up and send him to Grandma's house while I schlepped in for my meeting. 10 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start, it was cancelled. Awesome.

Yeah, time sure flies - I can't believe he's not a wee little baby anymore. Because he's so big and has all that hair, he actually looks like he's much older than he is. He's like the Lebron James of babies.
A year old? No way!
I'm sorry he's sick. Poor thing. It's no fun to be sick on your birthday, so I hope he feels better very very soon.

His actual birthday is tomorrow. He's not walking yet, but is cruising. He also really loves to dance - it cracks me up because if you say to him "Let's dance!" or "Dancy Dancy!" or if you play music, he starts bopping.
We haven't yet cut his hair. I was going to take him tomorrow, but now that he's sick, we'll just wait until he's well. I don't think I'm ready for him to have a little boy haircut, so I'm going to have them just try to shorten it without giving up the unruly craziness.
Are you really going to cut his hair? That makes me sad. He has such luxurious hair.

Man, it is going around this week! I had to leave work early on Tuesday to pick this up from daycare:
Double eye infection!!! Medicine is wonderful, Mucho is almost back to normal.

What kind of eye infection is it? Is it pink eye?
Ian must be at my school. We are down 3 teachers (we only have 10) and I am missing about 25% of my class. Too many parents trying to send sick kids to school.
She seriously looked like Rocky. Doc said that when little ones get really bad, lingering upper respiratory infections, it can go into their ears or eyes.
Daycare is a petri dish. Most days I hate the idea of a nanny, but not when she gets sick like this.
