weather forecast for the weekend
My anxiety is through the roof. DH and DS are going up near Cleveland for Saturday and driving back Saturday night. I'm not going b/c 7+ hrs in the car for one day at this point will be uncomfortable and wear me out, plus DS's bday party is Sunday so I need to get prepped for that. However, this looming "storm" has me so worried about their traveling. Is is just supposed to hit Sunday/Monday?? I thought I heard that Cleveland currently has like 18in already of snow on the ground.
Can anyone put the rumors to rest and my mind at ease?
Re: weather forecast for the weekend
I don't know anything about a storm yet, but I know my teacher friends around Cleveland have had some snow days this week.
I am in the same boat as you, I have to make a trip to Cleveland this weekend for my nephew's 2nd birthday and we are taking my other niece and nephew with us. I hope you are right and this storm doesn't come until Sunday. I also hope Cleveland has their roads cleaned for us!
My SIL lives in Cleveland and, yes, they have almost 2 feet on the ground right now. I was under the impression as of this morning that the storm we are supposed to get here will start Sat morning/afternoon...but is supposed to be just rainy at first.
Sat-Sun overnight is when the temps will drop and it's supposed to turn into snow with 3-5 inches coming.
I'm not sure how much more, if any that Cleveland is supposed to get over the weekend, though.
We (Cleveland) are supposed to get it Sunday night and Monday. I'll watch the news tonight and tell you what they say. I'm East of Cleveland we have about 18" that we got over early (1am ish) Monday thru last night. Downtown Cleveland only had a dusting until yesterday. They got snow all day, as did where I live (it was 1 big squal from downtown to my house), so there is probably 12/14" or so downtown. The expressways are clear and the roads in my suburb are clear, but the city of Cleveland roads (downtown) suck!
They can always stay with us if it is too bad to drive home ;-)
Do you know how bad it is south, near Wooster?
I keep hearing rain too on Saturday and worse on Sunday-Monday.
