Getting rid of that fishy smell!

My husband cooked fish the other day and the apt still smells horribly of the fish. I assumed after an evening of airing out the apt the smell would dissipate a little but I was very much wrong. 2 days later and the house still stinks. Id rather not use oust or febreeze and I dont want to cover it with a fake cookie smell or something like that. Anyone have any ideas?

simmer 50/50 white vinegar and water; works like a champ even on curry.

I had that same problem today.  I simmered some vinegar for a bit, and then replaced it with water, orange peels, and cinnamon to cover up the vinegar smell

I tried the baking soda, the boiling of vinegar and water, coffee beans, airing out the place, and a whole scrub down with lavender scent. Nothing worked and then I had to go on vacation so we'll see what the apt smells like when I get home.
