Anyone knowledgeable about stock options?

I'm curious if when you leave a company is there a standard amount of time you have to cash out/buy your stock options?

Or does it vary on the company?

?I'd ask our HR Dept. but unfortunately they all quit except the last remaining person is on maternity leave. ugh.

?

Thanks ladies!?

Re: Anyone knowledgeable about stock options?

  • It depends on the company. If stock options were a part of your hiring package, the rules should be stated in there. Typically, as long as you've been with the company for awhile, when you leave the stocks are yours to keep and you can do with them what you please.
  • let me know if you want me to read any of the stk option info and review tax issues with you.  Muah!
