Re: randoms

  • I'm going to continue to share my boring little tidbits until somebody else takes over.

I was in the bathroom a few minutes ago when someone else came in to puke.  I'm actually surprised this is the first time this has ever happened to me at work.  I didn't want to hang around to bug the person in case they get embarrassed about public puking like I would, but I was tempted to so I could tell whoever it was, "I have mints."

I get annoyed when people come into our office and assume I'm a secretary.  I've never heard anyone mistakenly assume that one of the male attorneys is a secretary.

I estimate that about 98.9% of the time when I walk into someone's office for a depo, they think I'm the court reporter.

Here is the dress I ended up wearing to the partay last night! I was a bright little blossom in a sea of basic black dresses. ::flips hair::

And also I didn't have to hold my stomach in all night.

  • Oooooooh, I bet you looked GORGEOUS in that, Fitty. What a great color for you. Any pics?

Thanks lady! I didn't take any pictures myself but a few people there were doing so. I should be seeing them early next week!

  • I love that dress. It reminds me of another one you had that was super gorgeous on you so i am sure you looked smashing!
  • I signed E up for camp for this summer and pre-school for sept. He'll love it, he's totally ready- we went to the school and he joined in the class like he'd been there forever, and it's three days a week.

I told this to someone I know and was told, "Well, that's a cultural thing, right." I just looked like, "huh?", and she said, "Well, Jewish people...they..um..send their kids to school early and send them away in the summer. It's like a priority to do that."

I take that to mean that she thinks Jews don't want their kids around. One, he isn't going to sleepaway camp at 2.5, he's going up the street to the temple. Two, I just think he'd be better off learning stuff in a school rather than saying "This is Jeopardy!" and "Time and temperature from TD Bank". It's not about being a Jew, it's about me realizing I watch a lot of tv.

  • Yeah, um, no Christians or atheists send their toddlers to daycare or pre-school. None.

She thinks they're too young to go to school but most Jews do this so that's why I think it's ok to send him "so early".

  • The "time & temperature" thing made me laugh because it was funny. Your friend's comment made me laugh because it sounds crazy.

I don't really get how it could be "too early" for a kid to learn how to socialize, share, and maybe even get a head start on reading. It's not like they are forced to sit still for hours on end and are getting smacked with a ruler for not writing their ABCs properly.

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • I think a few days a week is pretty common for toddlers.

Oh, it is. I know I went, prob every day when I was 2.5. I just thought it was an odd/funny/random rationale.

  • TSD, Maggie likes to hum the Jeopardy theme song. I think she and E would get along swimmingly.

  • Huh.  I thought Jews sent their kids to school early and to summer camp because they could afford it. You know, because they control the world banking system.

Don't forget how we run the entertainment industry too.  It's those school and camp plays that give them their hunger for Hollywood.
