just got back from the Heisman thing at work...
Madelyn07, you were totally right, Cam Newton is was totally sweet. I was so flustered that I blurted out, "I don't even know you guys without your helmets on!" So Cam started with "I'm Kellen Moore" and all the others switched their names. I said, "Oh come on guys, don't do this to me, I'm nervous enough!" and Cam said, "Aw girl, don't be nervous! We're just kids excited to be here, just like you!"
And because college athletics is such a small world, I had to tell Coach Harbaugh (from Stanford) that I know his sister, Joani. Joani is Harbaugh's sister, and her husband is Tom Crean, who used to coach at Marquette. Joani and I used to go to the same fundraisers and DH used to work with Jack Harbaugh, Jim and Joani's dad. Small world! And since DH used to work at a Pac10 school, we got to talk about the people we each knew in common too.
