We are relocating to the Fort Mill area, can anyone tell me about the area, school systems, crime, taxes. Nice family areas, things to do...
Thank you
Re: Fort Mill
I am from Rock Hill but just moved to TN. Fort Mill is a very nice area. Schools are great. Its about 10 minutes from Pineville, North Carolina which is where all the major shopping and dining is. If you love coffee (like I do) You have to try the Jumping Java Cafe. If you have children I would suggest looking into www.yorkcountymommys.com as its a great way to meet people. I know a lot of the ladies and they are great.
Fort Mill is a pretty small community so you will find yourself in Rock Hill or Pineville for just about anything. Thee is a great dog park if you have pets, right in fort mill. There is a lot less crime then in surrounding areas.
I hope that this helps and you love it! I would give anything to go back to the area!
I actually live in Fort Mill and love it! As PP said, it is a super tiny community, but there are tons to do! There are plenty of great parks close-by and larger cities like Charlotte or Pineville NC (15-20 mins away) has great shopping and restuarants. There are some great museums nearby as well.
Schools in the area are great, in fact, that is a major reason people chose to live in Fort Mill as opposed to Rock Hill, although taxes here are higher. Best of luck, and if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
