Have you read Edible Landscaping?
I am thinking about getting this book but I'm not sure if it would be torturing myself. I don't have a yard, just a balcony and brick patio.
Do you think it would still be useful? I'd like to put in some large rectangular tubs.
Re: Have you read Edible Landscaping?
I'd check out a few from the library before you buy one. I read edible landscaping and a few others, ended up buying the square foot gardening book and just going with stuff online. Our backyard isn't done yet, so I haven't laid everything out, but I'm planning on most of the flower beds being edible.
I also contacted a local university (they are big on ag stuff) for info.
LOL, I'm old fashion & like to flip pages.
In my mind, Edible Landscaping is more about landscape design (using plants you can eat) vs. Square Foot Gardening which is about how to grow something. I guess it depends on what you're after.
Have you ever read any books by Gayla Trail? Her books r soo interesting and great pics. All about gardening n small yards and on balconies. Really should try! I believe she has three books out (not sure). My favorite.
Good point. Grow Great Grub would be a good option for container gardening of edibles. You Grow Girl is more of an overview kind of book for both edible & ornamental.
