There will be 10 adults, my DH's family, and I have decided on lasagna as the main course. I am going to make my own garlic bread and crutons for the caesar salad. I need an app/ side or dessert to bring the wow factor. Any suggestions? I don't usually do a side with lasagna but I guess since it's a holiday I feel like I should..Is that silly?
No asparagus suggestions. TIA
Re: Christmas Eve dinner
Oh darn, I just found this to post before I read "no asparagus". Anyway, it's a different little app that gets lots of attention.
Parmesan Asparagus Spears (soooo easy, but turn out looking fancy!): http://munnfunn.blogspot.com/2010/01/fab-dinner-party-part-1.html
Here's another app that goes over really well with Italian food.
Pecorino Romano with Fig Jam (yummy and fancy, not too hard to put together): http://munnfunn.blogspot.com/2010/01/pecorino-romano-with-fig-jam.html
Apps: antipasto platter
Side: roasted broccoli
Dessert: tiramisu
