All that stands between me and my student teaching is a final paper in my Shakespeare class. We have a week to write a 10-page critical analysis paper on one of four given topics. None of the topics jumped out at me. Knowing that I had to get to work, I finally settled on a topic and came up with an idea. I'm 2 pages in and I just feel like it's not a great paper already. Ughhh! I'm totally stressing out. If I don't get a C on this paper, I don't student teach. Period.
Shakespeare has been the hardest class of my undergraduate career. I'm a good student, I've never been in this spot before. I just don't know what to do
Vibes that I get a good grade on this paper, please!! Thanks for letting me vent ladies.
Re: Final paper...so stressed!
I r
Awww, not fun!! I'm sorry
I agree with the PP, though. Maybe try to write little sections at a time instead of tearing your hair out trying to force write it. You can do it, and once it over you will feel great!!
Just curious, what question did you choose to write about? I have a minor in English, maybe there is a small chance I could offer suggestions if you run out of ideas??
Great idea! I think I will plan to go Christmas shopping after I turn my paper in!
First of all, best of luck! I am in a very similar situation - I am trying to finish up my 30 page paper for the History of Higher Education. There are 2 things that have gotten me up to page 16 (so far) without pulling my hair out.
1) take a break about every hour. Walk around the block, play a game of solitare, soemthing that ISN'T the paper. Every 5-6 hours take 45minutes - 1 hour and do soemthing fun and relaxing. For me, that's Xbox or hanging out with DH (if he's home/awake).
2) Split the paper into chunks. I am not an "outline" person, but if I hadn't made one, I would have just rambled on throughout this paper. You don't have to make it detailed just make a list of the "high points" you want to hit while you are writing. Think of it as your mapquest directions to the end of the tunnel!
Know that a lot of us are in this boat, rowing with you! Best of luck, and I am sure you will do brilliantly!!
