Re: Shopping!!!
wow that is def a day full of shopping but sounds like alot of fun!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy your day today
I just finished arranging jay's bills, re-writing all our passwords in a secret location (an index card on my desk-lol) Now making the bed, putting comfy clothes on and off to bake!!!
Man, I wish I could get motivated like that. It such a cold, windy, dreary day here so I feel like staying in. And I have already wrapped what I can and got our cards out. I don't think there will be any baking this year (my mom will share some of her cookies with us) because we are just that tight on money and I would rather save it.
So you must have figured things out with the bills then that is a good thing!!!
we are def getting there. We decided to do one joint checking (his suggestion) and I will handle all the bills. He is ok with me giving him an allowance to use or just letting him know whats in the account. He knows he can't go by what the banks balance says as I've allocated that money already.
This was the first go around with it, since i just got paid at my new job, we had some overlapping so i pulled alittle bit from savings to cover us until I get the whole schedule down pat, but i think it will be better for both of us in the long run.
That is awesome! Hey its all about one step at a time. I have to say a lot of people think I am crazy but I don't want to deal with the bills and Bernie likes to have it a certain way so I get an allowance and when I want extra money all I have to do is put my hand out and I get it. No biggie for me. It in nice to just say are all the bills paid and the answer is always yes. I used to be the money manager before so its nice to just be able to say gimme money and him say ok. But for your hubby he I am sure will like being like me!!!! After your blow out with him saying things that when I look at your pic its hard to believe he would say (trust me I have no doubt that he did) the things he said. Money makes people nuts!!!! Glad things are heading in a positive direction!!!
I am sure he will like it especially when I dont have to ask too many questions anymore. It def makes ppl nuts, its the root of all evil for sure
Pam, that sounds like one exhausting but really fun day!
chrisnjay, good for you guys. The first couple of months of having joint finances were definitely a bit weird as we were figuring out how to make it work, but now it's second nature and we're both pretty happy with the system. I hope that it works out as well for the two of you!
When we go out next weekend we will finish up! We did some shopping but a lot of it was scouting what we want to get so we will see how saturday goes for us!!!
