If you're taking the open Yale course with Fallin and me
I just listened to the introductory lecture. I liked the professor, she is engaging and charismatic. I don't think we need any discussion about the introductory lecture.
It does appear that the full novels are read, although Black Boy (the first) may only require sections/pages but I am not 100% clear on that and it isn't completely clear in the literature that comes with the course.
So, I am making an executive decision and saying if you can read all of Black Boy by 1/17 and listen to the first two lectures you should. We'll start discussion on 1/17 at the message board I set up.
