Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?
I'm not - lol! K is really stressed with school and work so to do my part I'm organizing the newspaper clippings related to her dissertation. You'd think it would be easy but there are 100s of them. But since I'm not feeling 100% well this will be the perfect "rainy weekend - stay in pjs" type project.

Re: Weekend Plans?
Tonight is the typical Costco run.
Tomorrow I think we'll clean and do a few errands in the morning. When the kids get up from a nap, we're meeting some friends at the zoo. We haven't been in years and haven't seen our friends since the kids were babies. It is supposed to be a nice fall day. Ahhhh.
Sunday we'll go to church in the morning and then the boys godfather and his girlfriend are coming over in the afternoon.
Should be a nice weekend!
We have absolutely NOTHING planned, and I couldn't be happier about it! I think we'll go to a movie.

For the first time since T got sick about 2 months ago we have exciting weekend plans! We leave tonight at 10pm for Las Vegas!!!!!
We are driving the 11 hours overnight with T's cousin Ali and her partner Tiffany. We are going to T's family reunion and just to have a nice road trip and an awesome vacation. We will be there for a whole week too! Things have been so serious and stressfull lately that it couldnt be a better time for this kind of trip. I'm excited to see T get back to feeling like herself again and to just get away from work, kids and the grind.
I'm so stoked I can barely sit still at work!!!!
enjoy the reunion, that sounds great!
right now i'm baking yet another batch of apple spice cookie squares to bring to a make-your-own-sundae party (they are delish with a scoop of vanilla bean
the party will be fun but i'm hoping it doesnt go too late b/c i'm tired...and we have to work tomorrow
tomorrow: work, clean house, hartford home show (its an expo all about home improvements, energy conservation, decorating, ect), then meeting up with friends at a local country line dance club (its fun, i promise!).
sunday: church, groceries, see fam, ect

K would really like to see Religulous so if you see that I'd love to hear your review.
We really enjoyed it! My review (with no spoilers): I think it was really well done. The basic premise is that Bill Maher as an individual believes that any religious person (or atheist for that matter) who is CERTAIN that they are right, is in the wrong. He believes in doubt above all else - with so many religions, how can we presume to know who really has the answers? So in the film he travels the world and asks people questions about their faith - and of course sometimes they don't like the questions. It's funny and serious and interesting and informative and scary and enlightening. I definitely recommend it. Though, those who are very touchy about religion may take some offense - the point of the film is not to offend at all, but to have a dialogue about issues of religion.
My only complaint, is that they made it a little too easy for us (lgbt community) to be the butt of the joke in a couple areas - Bill Maher is a completely non-homophobic person who thinks it's ridiculous that many religions preach against being gay, and he certainly was on "our side" in the film, but I think if he were gay himself, he would have made sure the tone didn't allow for any cheap laughs, you know? So that was a little disappointing for me, but it was a very small part of the film overall.
