melissa

how did you make those pretzel/pecan thingys? everyone at work loves them!

Re: melissa

  • Oh, they are super easy! I found the recipe just last week and had to give them a try. I'm glad they like them!

    pretzel squares
    bag of Rolos
    pecan halves

You just put the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Put a Rolo on each one. Some recipes call for half a Rolo, some call for a whole. I tried both since I wound up running out of Rolos at the very end and a whole one was better. Put them in the oven at 200 degrees for 5-10 min. When the tops are shiny, they're ready. Take them out and put a pecan half on each and push down. Put them in the refrigerator to set.

You can also put the halves on them before putting them in the oven, but you still have to push them down when you take them out. You can also use a microwave safe plate and just microwave them for a few seconds.

I swear the hardest part was unwrapping the Rolos!
