Watch any good movies while snowed in?
I watched FOUR movies on Saturday!
They were: Fantastic Mr. Fox, For Keeps, The Invention of Lying, and The Queen. Four very different movies!
Mr. Fox was....interesting. Worth a watch I suppose. For Keeps is an '80's Molly Ringwald classic. The Invention of Lying is really funny. The Queen was really really interesting. I wonder how accurate it is...

Re: Watch any good movies while snowed in?
We watched the movie "Temple Grandin" with Claire Danes. DH had been hounding me to watch it for months now and I'm SO glad I did. Her life story is so inspiring. She has changed the face of autism like none other. If you get a chance to watch this, I highly recommend it.
We also watched "Fred Claus" just for fun (kind of a cute holiday movie) and I watched Jane Austen's "Mansfield Park" which I was not a fan of.

Evan James was born 1/24/13 and matched with us 2/20/13. The LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!
I love For Keeps!
I watched Titanic for the bazillionth time. What's worse is that I watched it on basic cable with commercials even though I own the DVD. I was just too lazy to do anything different.
I also watched some foreign movies via streaming Netflix on my Wii. Nothing super awesome.
I was so much in a tv/movie haze on Saturday that I can't even think of what else I watched. Sad.
Judging
I could not get through this movie. Clare Danes just sounds so horrible. I've seen interviews with the real Temple Grandin and her speech is not at all as pronounced as Clare Danes made it out to be. I felt like it was a mockery.
Plus, I hate Clare Danes like poison.
Judging
We watched four movies as well! St. Elmo's Fire (love 80's movies) and the Santa Clause trilogy.
I got stuck on the Lifetime channel...I don't know the names of any of the movies, but I had it on ALL day Saturday.
Basically the same movie. Boy meets girl. Problem ensues (pyscho ex-wife, stupid boy behavior, nasty step children, sickness), boy and girl hate each other...the holidays arrived, and boy and girl magically fall back in love again.
Yesterday, I was stuck watching Football, since I subjected Jim to about 8 hours of Lifetime.

Well, I wasn't snowed in the w/e, but we did watch She's Out of My League...it wasn't too bad.
While I'm glad we didn't have to shovel at all this weekend, I must admit I was sad I was missing out on the snow storm down there!

Married Bio
I watched some really bad sequel to The Christmas Shoes called The Christmas Blessing.
I watched some other Lifetime, ABC Family and Hallmark Christmas movies.
I also caught up on all the shows in my DVR. I can't wait for The Walking Dead to come back on in October, love that show.
my read shelf:
I got through it but I do agree with what you said about it. The voice was a bit much. I also could barely handle them showing the dead cows drowning in the cleaning bath.
Her story is really inspiring though.

I remember seeing For Keeps when I was really little. The whole part at the beginning showing the insides during conception seemed SO scandalous to my young brain! And MAN does that movie make me glad I wasn't a teenage mom and that I stayed in school! :-)
I love that show too, too bad we have to wait so long for it to come back.
The History channel was replaying America: The Story of Us so I watched several of those. I love history.
We have similar taste! I LOVE America: The Story of Us. For 12 Sundays I could not be interrupted from 8-9pm so I could watch it. They did a really good job with the series. I want to buy it so DD can watch it when she's older.
my read shelf:
I had recorded Leap Year to watch Saturday but didn't get to it so I watched it last night. Matthew Goode is DELICIOUS. Wow. Yum. And Amy Adams is cute as a little button. I want to be her friend. :-) And I totally want to go to Ireland now.
And then I watched just the singing part of the Sing Off and it was about 30 minutes. They blabber on for 75% of the 2 hour show! I want to kick Nicole Whatsherface off. "Like, I totally, like, LIKED it!"
We watched Iron Man 2. Meh. Niether H or I are really into comic book style movies like this but everyone said it was so good. It was fine for what it is.
On the other hand, we finished season 4 of Always Sunny in Philadelphia and I could watch that show over and over again. I just ordered the complete set of seasons 1-5 for my bro for Christmas and already want to borrow it!
