The new Big Televen logo sucks
OLD (I heart the "11" in Big Ten):
NEW:
I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.

I liked how the old logo had the 11 in it. I think it would have been harder to work in a 12. I can see how you could turn it into a 6. I think it looks better when you just drop the word ten. I did find it funny that they wanted to pay respect to the original 10 schools with the logo, doesn't the entire name of the conference do that already? I think it could be better, but it is growing on me.
I like that they just did not use geography for the divisions, however I think they could of come up with something better.
I agree. The new logo is terrible. I also really liked the old logo with the hidden 11. The division names are also terrible. No one will remember who is in which one.
Someone created this image which I thought was pretty awesome. Maybe change the colors but other than that I love it.
I really think they should just go with North/South even though it isn't perfect. I've heard Great Lakes/Great Plains is being considered but I think that makes even less sense geographically. Either Michigan/Michigan State are in the Great Plains division or the rest of the states bordering the great lakes are.
As for the divisions, one is all the Ms and Ns plus Iowa (Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern). The other division has everyone else (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin)
