Another CD question - Rash Cream

Whoops. I didn't realize that you shouldn't use diaper rash cream with cloth dipes. I've been using Aveeno and Pins and Stripes (or whatever their name is) said that was OK...not great to use. And the BG site says to use a liner. What do you gals use for a liner? Something disposable? A reuseable liner?

I didn't realize that at first about diaper creams either.  We use a fleece rectangle.

Um, we use disposables when we need to use any sort of serious rash cream or lotiony medicine.  Otherwise I've been known to just put a thin schmear of vaseline/ petroleum jelly with the cloth.

I just can't be bothered with a liner moving around and then having to strip my diapers because of cream sticking!

I don't use anything... I haven't had any problem with repelling or anything, I switched to the natural boudreax's butt paste because the original stuff stained a little, but nothing a soak couldn't take care of... and I don't care about stains anyway...

When we need to use heavy duty cream, like Destin, we use a disposable diaper. We tried some disposable liners, but it still went through. We use vasoline and this diaper stick on cloth diapers with no problems.

I love California Baby diaper rash cream - it's cloth diaper safe, but I still use it with a disposable liner on my BG's because I'm paranoid. I have a roll of Kushie liners I bought when I was pregnant. If she has a serious rash, then I'll use a non-CD safe cream and a disposable. I don't use a washable liner because I don't really "get" how that would help - wouldn't you have to wash the liner separately, or else the cream would get all over your diapers in the wash?

We are using california baby, mostly because we can get it at target. We have grovia liners, but we don't use them much.so we just use the ca baby and will go to disposables if I have to use the triple paste. Im tying to see if mcdc will carry cj's butter, if not I want to order some soon.

Yes, you have to wash fleece liners separate. It's a pain so I crutches to flushsble ones. Plus the cream still got on my diapers. Might as well use cd safe cream right on the diapers if its going to get on it anyway
