Does anyone know how to get deodorant out of the pits my husbands shirts? It's not like a yellow sweat stain. It's an actual hard plaque of deodorant that builds up over time. It stinks and looks ugly; it's hard and shiny. I've tried Spray 'n Wash, Spray 'n Wash w/ Resolve, Oxy Clean Spray, Oxy Clean rub on gel stain stick, vinegar, baking soda, vinegar and baking soda, meat tenderizer. Nothing works! Anything new?
Re: deodorant stains
Is it deodorant build up or did his deodorant just discolor/stain his shirts. I used one deodorant that would actually remove the color from my clothes like bleach.
If it is a build up I don't know if it would work but when I get deodorant on my clothes I rub a pair of nylons on the spot and it takes the spot right out.
I wonder if Prince William and Kate are registered at Target?
I have the same problem! It's so irritating...Someone suggested to me that he try a different deodorant because certain kinds are more likely to stain and build up. He usually wears a gel type (Mitchum), but we just switched to a spray (Sure). My mom swears that after my dad switched to spray it helped a lot. Since the stains and build up are deodorant and not sweat, she also suggested that he either put it on after his shower the night before or if he takes a shower in the morning, be sure to let it dry as much as possible.
I've tried the same things you have with no results, so maybe this will help!
