We finally got our first snowfall
Last night! We only have like 1/2 inch or so but it was enough to cover. I have to uploads on FB from last night and I took a few pics this morning I'll try and post later.
This is the snow I like, light and fluffy and not enough to cause a mess. Just enough to look pretty!
Re: We finally got our first snowfall
wow, 15 degrees??? I think that would be enough for me to stay home from work...I'd die.
I can't wait to see pictures of the snow though! It was pretty cold yesterday but today it's already warming up again. I think it's supposed to be over 60 by the end of the week.
Hmmm...it's about 54 degrees here today (how do you like THAT, I translated into F for you guys!)
It is gorgeous. There is not a single snowflake on the ground, everything is pretty green. It doesn't feel much like winter.
As an aside, I am from a really really touristy area. My hometown is constantly featured in travel magazines, it's gotten rated as the second best island to visit in the entire world, (after an island in the South Pacific) etc etc. People come to visit from all over the world. This is not a jab at Americans (ok, yes it is) but I can't tell you how many times I saw cars with American license plates driving through town in the middle of SUMMER with snow skiis strapped to their roofs.
Umm...let's just note that where I am in Canada has a MUCH milder winter than many many places in the States. But I swear that there are still Americans out there that truly think we all live in Igloos all year round up here. (Not any of you girls, lol!)
Only in WINTER Stu, jeeez!
We have been under a winter storm watch warning since Sunday morning.. and it continues until 7 am tomorrow! All the schools around us had snow days yesterday and Cameron's college campus closed at 3 pm yesterday. Last night he got an email saying that campus was closed all day today - he was supposed to have a final at 8:30 am! He said he got an email from his professor that it will be rescheduled for next Tuesday. Last week he sat in downtown traffic for nearly 3 hours trying to take a final.. It's too early in the season to be this crappy out!
It's currently 14? but with the wind chill it's -1?. I hate Ohio!!!
J- I want to come to where you are!
Come to Ohio and take some of our snow, we have plenty to share! The news station has updated totals of the snow fall and my city rcvd 24 inches yesterday/last night alone!!! Last Wednesday it took me 3.5 hrs to get home when I usually have a 25 min drive! Winter has come way too early for us this year! I'll take the 50's right about now!!!
