I've got a 15.5 hour flight with my son the day after christmas. He'll be just shy of 16 months. I need all the help and suggestions I can get. Anyone flew with jars of baby food lately? Any troubles with the tsa? Fortunately, I'll be flying with plenty of family, but we've been assigned seats all separated and all over the plane. I'm starting to get into panic mode. Any help would be much appreciated.
Re: Flying with a toddler
I have had some friends fly with toddlers and infants lately (and we are getting ready to as well) and they have said they didnt have any issues with baby food or security. I think they said they declared everything to speed up the process and it helped. It might also help to get to the airport early to see if you and try and get your seats together, sometimes its easier the day of than before the flight.
I would bring lots of stuff for your LO to do, a portable DVD player if possible, a favorite blankie and extra everything. We have flown with L 4 times since she was born but the flights have never been more than 5 hours and shes still not mobile but she does get restless so I have found that a variety of toys always helps.
Good luck and have fun!
