My kid is a GIANT

33 inches tall and 27.5 lbs. She's right on track developmentally.

Our only problem is the bottle. My doctor is really pressuring me to get rid of it but I'm scared. It's the only way I can get her to sleep. Anybody want to come over and wean Natalie from the bottle for me?

Re: My kid is a GIANT

  • I had Davis off the bottle except at night by the time he was 12 months.  By 14 months he was done with the night bottle.  He weaned himself, so it was easy, he just flat out didn't want it anymore. But I had planned on gradually decreasing ounces for a week.

    Night 1 - 8 oz.

    Night 2 - 7 oz

    Night 3 - 6 oz.

and so on until there was only an ounce by the last night

    I heard it works.

These are the things that are so hard to do.  I hope whatever you do works.

  • I'm going thru that with B2 right now.

He goes to bed around 815/830, so around 745 he gets a sippy cup of milk.

    Seems to be working.

  • Just throw them away! lol. It worked for Charli. And wow, she is tall!
  • Reece still gets a cup of milk about 15-20 minutes before bed.  It's not a ton of milk, but enough to satisfy him.

I'm sure this summer when we potty train, I'll need to break him from the cup before bed...but it's not anything that I'm too worried about right now.

I was able to just replace the bottles with a cup.  It worked for us.

    Good luck
