Gift Question

I've been trying to think of something to give to M's DCP for Christmas. Last year we added alittle more to that month's check but it wasn't alot since M had only been there for 3 months. This year since she has been such a huge help with M I was wanting to give her something she would really like. I've been thinking about a gc to Border's (she loves to read) or to a toy store in town that she loves to get supplies at. Which do you think would be a better gift? TIA!

Re: Gift Question

  • What about a gift certificate to Full Circle Bookstore?  It's an awesome, locally owned bookstore in 50 Penn Place with really cool ambiance (and they will happily special order for you anything they don't carry).
  • She would probably like that. I don't know how often she goes into the city. She's on the southside of Norman.

I just looked at the website that place looks really nice. I might to take M to their children's section one weekend.

  • I like the giftcard to a book store better than I do to the toy store. The only reason is the book store is where she can buy something that is actually for her own personal use. Whereas, at the toy store it'd be something for her business.

This was my line of thinking, too.  I would go with a Borders gift card (or a similar place).  There's also Copelins and Mardel in Norman.  Both have teaching/DC materials, but Mardel has a pretty good book selection too if I remember correctly.

The bolded is where she gets most of her supplies from. I was thinking about a gift card from there.
