Where do you live now? We'll be moving to SoCal in a year and I know it will be hard for both of us. DH has lived in the Bay Area his whole life except 2 years in college so I think it will be esp hard for him.

I moved around a lot in my early 20's (Colorado, Florida, Vegas - to name a few) and I came back to the Bay Area because it truly is the best place in the country to live.

It took me leaving to appreciate just how great we have it here.

Which part? I grew up in Fresno so if you're there I could give some suggestions. I'm thinking you're probably out more in the sticks though. Congrats on the house!!

In Los Banos..about an hour from fresno or so. I still come to SJ my job is here and I love it( commute everyday ...I know crazy)

Thanks!...love the house so big and nice.I guess it wouldn't be that bad if we had friends here but we don't and with our schedule it has been hard to make new friends
