I will be going back to college in the spring to get my MBA. Does anyone know if you can download textbooks on the Nook Color? Or any other ereader? I thought the Nook Color would be best if there are any graphs and charts in color in the textbooks.
Re: The Nook and College
I am under the impression that there are more textbooks available for the Kindle:

That being said, as a PhD candidate and course instructor, this is not mainstream practice. I think you'd run into problems assuming you could use an ereader for the majority (or even a fraction) of your required reading. I would check with a current student at your potential institution and see what they think.
I have a nook and I am OBSESSED and the main reason I went with the Nook over the Kindle is its ability to read library books. If your state has an eLibrary (I use both NY and MD since I have library cards in both states) you can download books for free. I've read countless books for free because of this.
That being said, when I bought it I inquired about textbooks and the guy at Barnes and Noble said they have some, but most publishers aren't releasing e-versions because they don't make as much money that way. I don't think it really matters about Kindle vs. Nook, because if the publisher released it to one I don't see why they wouldn't release it to the other.
