Have it. Love it. No regrets. Was crampy when I got it a couple years ago, but not super bad. I've heard some don't have it as easy as I did, but I'd do it again in a heart beat.

This.  Having it put in wasn't fun, but not extremely painful either.  And SO worth it in my opinion, given that we aren't having any more kids.  I had light spotting for the first year and now I have no period at all, which totally rocks.

Also have it and love it!  I got it at about 8 weeks pp, and it was covered by insurance.  It was not that painful; the MW numbed things at a few different points during the insertion.  I do remember some uncomfortable cramps during the insertion and then was kind of crampy that day and the next day.  But you just had a baby - so it's nothing compared to that!  I haven't had any cramps, no spotting, and no period since, so for me it's been fantastic.  When I ask, Chris said he can sometimes feel the string, but doesn't bring it up or complain on his own, so that's not a big deal for us.  I could probably go in and get the strings trimmed if I felt so inclined.  I'm terrible about remembering a pill, and we don't plan to have another baby until Marcus is 4 or 5, so it's perfect for me.

Love it! Highly recommend it.  Insertion was a breeze, I basically felt nothing, nursed Paige the whole time and only had slight cramping a few hours later.  I had about 4-5 weeks of light spotting. It has not affected breastfeeding which was my main concern. I got it at 10 weeks pp.

I had it and did not like it.  I got it 8 weeks after Grace was born and it hurt so freaking bad when it was put in.  For some reason though she could not get it in the first few trys so I think my experience is not the norm.  But had she not gotten it in on the last try I would have had her stop.....just thinking about it makes me cringe.  I then bled for 6 months so I had it taken out then and went on the mini pill.  I am on the mini pill again this time.

I have it and love it.  I got it put in when DD was about 18 months old.  My insersion was easy -- no worse than a pap smear.  I guess childbirth left me with a nicely stretched out cervix.

Pretty much this -- I got it about 8 weeks pp and it was no picnic, but it works out great.  I had cramping for about a week, maybe 10 days off and on.  Mine was also covered by insurance, so it cost me a total of $40 which I figured was a better deal than the mini pill, plus no remembering to take anything.  We'll start trying again way before 5 years, but it still seemed like the best option for me/ us.
