Question for those with kids

Do you wrap the gifts from santa in different paper? My sister had most of the stuff she bought sent here and I wrapped a few of her things so I had stuff to prop Ella up on when I was taking pics... well part of what I wrapped was for her boys and when she told me those were gifts from santa I asked if she wanted me to unwrap and use different paper. She said no they have never noticed before. My mom always used different paper, I always helped wrap gifts and I remember having to redo a few of my brothers things because i used the wrong kind.

Re: Question for those with kids

  • When I was little everything from Santa was actually left out opened up out of the boxes and put together. The stuff from my parents was wrapped. So, this is what I do with my kids too.

I loved coming out to the tree and eyeballing something that I had really wanted. And we still had plenty of stuff to be unwrapped too.

  • B2 isnt old enough to know the difference yet. But when he is, yes, I will wrap his in different paper. My mom always wrapped my santa presents in different paper.
  • Yea typically they were in a "Santa" paper...although I've also gotten presents from "barbie" too.

(yea like two years ago I got a present from barbie...haha)

Santa always brought toys or games and mom and dad bring everything else.  We still do some Santa items for the family.

This year Tim got something from Spike...(the toledo walleye...) hehe

  • Wrapping is actually how I figured out santa wasn't real. My stepmom has very unique hand writing and wrote the tags for the gifts from her and my dad as well as the ones from santa.

  • I don't get my kids stuff from me. Everything is from Santa. Even with my 11 & 13 year old all the gift tags say from Santa on them.
  • when I was little, Santa's gifts were always left unwrapped, set up and ready to go.  R didn't do it that way, so we are compromising this year and wrapping Santa stuff in different paper.  It's been hard to hide that roll of paper from the kids though!  His 7yr old still believes, but she's skeptical sometimes and needs reassurance.

  • When they got old enough to know the difference, we had different "Santa" paper.  I even would take tags to people at my work to fill out for me so the handwriting was completely different.

  • I will wrap in different paper when he is old enough to know the difference. I think it is fun.

  • Yes, always had Santa paper and my parents would have other people write on the tags so it was in "Santa's" handwriting instead of their own.  I do this with KP and will with PJ.
  • yes, for now anyways.  Especially for the stockings too.  A is too young to know the difference, but that is ok.

  • My parents always wrapped Santa gifts in different paper. I will eventually, but J is too young to notice something like that, he's not even old enough to really understand Christmas yet.
  • We will have "santa paper" starting next year but I don't think B will catch on this year yet.

  • I haven't really thought about it because she doesn't know yet. I will probably do different paper. I think my parents just wrote from Santa on the labels.
