Can I ask for you guys to please keep my dog Daphanie in your thoughts and prayers?  She has a collapsed lung, pneumonia, and valley fever! We have her on all the meds she needs but she has been sick for a few weeks now and for the first two weeks she would hide her pills in her mouth and spit them out around the house =( I chuckled at that part because what a smart dog! Haha

I know, my parents have started to hide them in wet dog food and that seems to do the trick... because in the last week she has lost 3 lbs because she hasn't been eating to much =(

i give titan his daily pill in a teaspoon or so of peanut butter on a spoon, or lunchmeat usually works too

poor girl. I hope she starts getting better soon. I've had to put pills down dogs mouths before, not fun. cheese seems to do the trick

well, my parents were putting the pills in cheese and she would eat the cheese then spit out the pill, same with lunch meat.  So what has been working is a teaspoon of wet dog food... she has no idea it is in there and she loves the treat at the same time.

poor thing, I hope she gets better soon. We had to use the wet dog food trick too, our pup would eat around the pill and leave it in her bowl when we used lunch meat or cheese and she doesn't like peanut butter.

Poor angel! I second the soft cheese and peanut butter if she likes it. I too had a dog that would find the pill and ditch it, even within a sliced cheese.  I had to use peanut butter and soft, soft cheese.

I hope you are able to stay on top of it, that's key to recovery.  I'll keep your sweet doggie in my thoughts, GL!

Thanks girls, the wet dog food seems to be doing the trick and the last couple days her energy level has increased.  We still have to keep her from getting to excited but she is starting to act more like herself again, which makes me happy.

Sorry she has not been doing well recently.  Have you tried the pill hiding treats. My dog would find pills in anything but them.  They are awesome.  They aren't too cheap but they were lifesavers for us with my dog's tick fever meds!

Thank you.  No I have never hear of those treats.  Where would you find them at, just a regular pet store? My poor dad has been spoon feeding her for the last coupld weeks because that is the only way they have been able to get her to eat =(

My vet sells them but I have also seen them at Petco and Petsmart in the treat row.  They are called "pill pockets".  I am pretty sure they are made by "greenies".  You just put the pill in the little hole and then squish it together to hide the pill.  The dogs love them great and are so easy to hide the pill in.

Oh my!! I am definitely praying for your family & doggie. I would be a mess if it were my pups, so I can only imagine. I have high hopes for you all. And by one of your recent posts, it seems like the pup is getting better. Keep your head up
