s/o charity - volunteer ideas
I know volunteer opportunites are different for me out here, but also, a lot of them would be the same.
I'm looking for ideas on how to give back to the community. In the past I worked with VITA - which does income tax preparation for low-income individuals. My current firm considers this a conflict of interest, eventhough the VITA participants could in now way pay my hourly rate for me to prepare a return.
I'm looking for something consistent - maybe 4 or so hours a week as a time commitment.
What are volunteer activities that you have enjoyed in the past?
