Today we did all the last minute things - put together the pack n play and other various things, put the car seat bases in the cars, finished organizing the nursery and the temporary sleeping/changing station in our room, packed the hospital bags, cleaned the house, cleaned out a cabinet in the kitchen for all his stuff, etcetcetc.
So now what? Sit here and wait? Maybe take the phone off the hook so the phone calls from the parents asking, "HOW ARE YOU FEELING??!!?" will stop?
I think the best way to pass the time will be to bake and make fudge.

So exciting! Looks like you are all set and ready for baby. I agree with everyone else. Enjoy the last few weeks..esp. the belly movement. I really missed feeling the baby inside me. Gianna got the hiccups all the time in the end and it was really cute!
You'll be a momma in no time!
I completely agree! I missed feeling the baby after her was here. Like Pam & Michele said...enjoy those wiggles! Then like everyone else said...just relax and rest. Soon enough you will be holding your little man! So excited for you!!!
OMG that went by fast!! Well for me it did anyways!!
Definitely get your rest now...although I remember how much resting at this point in the pregnancy can be challenging.
Good luck and can't wait to hear the news.
It's so funny that so many of you said to enjoy the last days of wiggles!! H and I were just talking about that yesterday morning. I think I'll definitely miss the rolling around, but I will NOT miss whatever he does that sends a shooting pain near my bikini line.
We got so much done yesterday and H is being awesome helping with stuff around the house. He said his goal for today is to finish everything on his to do list and on mine too, so that all I have to do this week is relax and do things I enjoy (like baking!)!! He's the best.
Thanks for all the well wishes.
yay! the best advice i can give is to just sleep in , be lazy, watch movies, eat whatever you want, chat on the phone, do things you love- shop, spa, cook, arrange your spices in alphabetical order... whatever- just do it. it is awhile before you are able to do those things once babe is here.
oh i thought of another must have- for me anyway. splurge and buy the temporal scanner thermometer . it is really accurate- just like rectal. its so easy to read and use. i never have to wake the girls up if i want to check it and they are sleeping.i have used it with isla since she was 3 mos. i have two of them actually. i love them!
Thanks, Erica!!! I wondered about the accuracy of those thermometers when we were looking/registering. We ended up with the Braun ear one, but I'm going to BRU today, perhaps I'll check the temporal scanner one out!
And I totally planned on sleeping in today. Yet here I am, awake. I actually woke up at 5 and just stayed up. If I didn't have a doctor's appointment this morning I probably would have tried to go back to sleep, but I was so wide awake I just said screw it. Annoying!!
OH!!! So exciting!! I can't believe he's almost here!
Baking, pedicures, and walking the dogs was how I spent my last couple of weeks that felt like FOREVER!!
Sleeping in ... yeah that didn't happen near the end but I do agree with being lazy and just laying on the couch. Just relaxing and not letting yourself stress out is the best thing you can do.
